You wake up 8 in the morning in a rush to get to the office only to find that your fancy leather shoes aren't where they're suppose to be. You think to yourself that you must have misplaced them, but you can't think straight because it's way too early in the morning and your late for work. When you do find your shoes it's outside with bite marks all over and soaking wet from the rain. With no choice left at hand, the only thing you can do is wear the “lesser” leather shoes and drive to work. By the time you get there, you get shouted at by the old prick in charge and receive a salary deduction, your shoes get made fun of by your fellow officemates, and eventually you get fired – all this because of the hell-sent pooch! Well maybe you won't get fired, but you will if the same damn thing happens over and over again! It doesn't stop there though; there are other victims of such unruly behavior.
Another would be the garbage can – it just loves tearing it into shreds and spreading it everywhere. This can be a problem if you have visitors coming over constantly. You never know when the crazed
will strike – the result of that kind of behavior would be guests thinking that your a unruly slob with poor hygiene and all. They wouldn't want to go to your place anymore. Your dog chewing on the foot of you and others can also be a headache. They get in the way and relentlessly attack you, slowing you down from reaching your point of destination.
The tables and chairs with beautiful expensive paint jobs aren't an exception to the “chewer” dog – they will bite anything and everything they can sink their teeth into. The end result would be scratched up furniture that have depreciated in value due to the “chewer” dog. What on earth causes the pooch to be like that and do such things? According to some pet owners and my personal experience, both backed up with some scientific research conducted by anonymous researchers, one probable cause is loneliness. Leaving them alone in the house can make them feel depressed. That with the build-up of energy that should be expended daily through play and exercise makes them rowdy and triggers the chewer from within.
The
is normal, but can be prevented and put to a stop with the right dog training methods. One method of preventing it from doing considerable damage is with the aid of dog products – products such as the canine chew toy. Your dog can and should be trained to take it out on the chew toy only. It'll actually serve as a substitute for the shoes, clothing, and furniture inside the household. Another effective method would be giving it doggy treats before you leave, so that it'll be conditioned to enjoy its stay in the house, and expect you to give it something good before leaving it alone.
That would help with your dog's chewing problem now wouldn't it? Aside from that, research about the different
for dealing with behavioral problems as stated above. You should never get angry if your pooch does bite something of value to you – it doesn't have any intentions of doing you wrong and hurting it will only make the problem worse. Play your cards right and it won't be long before you eliminate the “chewer” animal from within your dog.
