The Fila Brasileiro is a monster of a dog it has been manipulated, rather used for many different types of jobs because of the skill set it has been blessed with. Skills alone without some physical superiority doesn't quite cut it for some professions demanding strength and agility. Luckily this pooch also has large and muscular build they can weigh more than a hundred pounds and stand 24 to 29.5 inches. The folds on its skin can be cute, but it's not good enough to hide the big muscles and huge bones beneath it. As I've said it has been used for different jobs, one would be hunting.
What makes this pooch good at it? Well they say it has the
blood flowing through its veins and we all know that this is a popular dog breed well-known for their uncanny scent of smell. Finding trails and following them to the end was made easy with the help of its nose. Game hunters in search of large prey such as the Jaguar and Wild Boar have a Fila Brasileiro tag along. It not only has the ability to find them, but give it a chase as well and smack the suckers down to the ground that's how strong and agile it is.
Hunters aren't the only ones using this pooch, but the farmers as well. They used the
to ward off all kinds of wild beasts. Never backing down was a trait of it that was much adored by the farmers; it had daredevil like behavior it seemed to show no fear at all and no hesitations of moving in on the predators. The Fila Brasileiro was also used by rebels in Brazil while opposing the government. It was deployed as a war dog and did a fantastic job at taking down the soldiers blocking the path of the activists I'm not an activist or a rebel for that matter, I'm just saying how good it really is at combat.
Aside from freedom fighting, this makes a fantastic guard dog for the family. They have a very protective instinct; it feels the need to keep you safe from whatever harm that may come. Even if it senses bad intentions, which could pretty much be almost everything if not trained properly, it won't have second thoughts about barking and biting. That's the way the Fila Brasileiro was born it's what it was bred for. But with the family that owns it, it's actually surprising tolerant of rowdy behavior, even that of the kids. This is because it bonds extremely well with its humans companions, seeking their love and attention.
I can't say the same for strangers and other pets though. If you have plans of keeping this as a house pet, you can, but only if you know the right
and understand fully its behavior. This can't be owned by anyone it'll need someone to look up to and keep it in place. What it doesn't need is an inexperienced first-time pet owner with a weakling persona.
